ANTI-RACISM IS VITAL TO THE SUCCESS OF OUR STUDENTS

Time and time again we hear stories from our BIPOC community members about their experiences with racism in Cape Cod schools. No student should have to face barriers to learning, but unfortunately microaggressions, unconcious bias, and racist policies are impacting our students of color everyday. Studies have shown that experiences with racism in school impact a students access to and quality of education, further leading to diparities in economic outcomes and health later in life.

For these reasons, Cape Cod Voices has devoted a large portion of our work to combating racism in schools. Our comprehensive approach to breaking down racism in schools and classroom examines each school with a five-point comprehensive anti-racism criteria . This ensures that teachers, staff and administrators have the ability to understand anti-racism and how they can apply it to their school and indiviual classrooms and spaces.
